teen Volunteer program

Teen & Parent/Guardian Orientation required

Each week we offer Teen Service Days - opportunities for teens (13-18) to volunteer alongside their peers. These opportunities give teens experience with volunteer projects in support of student learning assistance (tutoring), nonprofit organizational support and other community needs.

Volunteers are the heart of our program. Email us for our most recent schedule.

Student Learning Assistance:

We work with students individually or in pairs to follow each student’s individualized learning plan. We are in need of tutoring volunteers throughout the school year, and during the summer. At our learning center, students build skills in reading and math, get help with homework, grow their confidence & achieve academic success.

Nonprofit Organizational Support:

Hope Active is a 501c3 organization where our vision is to be a bridge between great people and greater hope. We accomplish this by serving the needs of our local community. A volunteer in this area will work directly with the Hope Active team in support of upcoming projects. Volunteering in this capacity could consist of folding volunteer shirts, addressing thank-you cards, making copies & other administrative duties.

Community Needs:

In support of our vision we believe in serving the needs of our local community through ACTION. Volunteering in this capacity could consist of cleaning up a local park, overseeing kids in the playroom, annual events such as our back to school bash, our Toy Drive and other opportunities as they present themselves.

Parent/Guardian permission is required for all teen volunteers.
