Our community programs are the heart beat of our organization and fall under the leadership of Michelle Owens. We serve over 1,000 students/families every year. Our most popular events are our Back Pack event, Toy Drive & Diaper Pantry/Essential Items. However, we always can use extra help in different areas.

Community & Mentorship are two separate applications.

Volunteer opportunities are filled w/ sponsors first. Consider becoming a sponsor of a deserving student today.

Our mentorship porgram are critical to the success of our schools & community. This falls under the leadership of Shonbay Jones. Steps to becoming a mentor:

2- Attend virtual info session

3- Complete Screening (interview/reference/background)

4- Attend training (initial & ongoing)

5- Shadow on campus or juvenile facility

6- Official Hope Active Mentor

Hope Active is a nonprofit 501c3 organization that is able to serve the community because of generous people like you. The benefit of being a sponsor is that you can make a direct impact in our local community. Sponsors will have first sign-up rights for volunteer opportunties AND access to volunteer opportunities for sponsor only events. We welcome corproations, organizations, churches and individuals to consider being a sponsor.
